I need to get out!

I've been cooped up all weekend - minus a trip to church this morning - with three sick kids. I've watched so much Hannnah Montana I could vomit a blond wig. At least the show is funny. I'm not usually one to park my kids in front of the TV, in fact I REALLY HATE the fact that they watch ANY TV. But desperate times called for desperate measures. And, get this, Ty was actually asking if he could turn off the TV! Hah! Maybe that's the answer. Make them watch TV to such an excess that they never want to watch it again. But, actually, now that I think about it, I've tried that with cake, and it didn't really seem to work. Hmm....about that cake.....

Reason #13: Thank you, Lord, for kids that are usually VERY healthy.

Eisenhard Family Farm

Five chickens

Two Ducks

One very old hound dog

And now one rescued ferrel kitten that is so tortured by three children it probably wishes it were still unrescued.

Have I mentioned that I don't even really like animals? I must say they are growing on me, though. I'm turning into Fannie Farmer. Somebody! Help me!

Why I love my daddy

He wrestles with me.
He lets us play on the slip and slide.
He's nice.
He's fun.
He plays games with us.
He takes me on dates.
He tickles me.
He gives us underdogs on the swing.
He shares his coffee.
He lets us do whatever we want. (?!?!?)
He lets me have juice.
He makes me pancakes.

He loves us.

Why I love their daddy:
He's nice to me.
He rides a motorcycle.
He makes me feel beautiful.
He tells me to spend money on myself (I have it so rough).
He's my biggest fan.
He tries his best to understand me - even when there is no understanding.
He would drop anything to come to my aid.
He fills up my gas tank.
He makes me coffee.
He buys me coffee after he makes me coffee.
He loves my family.
He's the best daddy on the planet (okay, sometimes he's kid #4, but we're working on that).
He's forgiven me when I didn't deserve it.
He loves me.

A New Era

We've reached a new place in our lives. We're at the place where little boy's socks stand up all by themselves because they've been worn for so long. Where is that kid's mother!

Future bathroom?

My friend Pam sent this to me. It was a nursery one of her coworkers painted, and I really like the combo. What do you think? I probably wont do stripes, and I imagine a lot of the brown will come from the dark wood in the bathroom. Oh, and there shouldn't be a crib in there, either. Too blue? Too turqoise? Too weird? Honesty please.

We're Painted

There is yellow paint all over the inside of my house. And I love it! The husband doesn't love it as much, but he never has shared my designer tastes.... Today we went to the doctor's office, and my color was on the main wall, so I take that as having some really great style sense. Oh how I wish I could please my husband with paint colors, but unless I live in a white box it will never happen. And I just can't do white.

Our house is nearing completion. After the paint, I just need a bathroom painted and a kitchen installed. Speaking of bathrooms, I don't know what to paint the main bath. I was in a cafe once that had a blue (kind of turquoise, kind of grayish baby blue) and dark, chocolate brown and it looked awesome! I know my description probably does not do it justice, but I loved the combo. I'm also thinking of a smoky purplish/grayish purple color. Wish I could be more specific. Any suggestions????

We're moving out of our current house (and have been) this weekend. Yippee! Man do we ever have a bunch of junk.

Poll Results

Well, for the four of you that voted (please tell me nobody voted twice!) the answer to the question is Astronaut. I wanted to be an astronaut when I grew up. Until I had children. Now all that I think of when I think of space shuttles is one blowing up or catching on fire at re-entry. Skydiving was fun, too, until I had children. My, how things have changed.

Thanks for voting. When I think of another question, by all means I will start a poll. Oh, I think I have one now....
